How much volts do Bicycle Dynamo Hubs Generate - Shimano Alfine 3 DH-S501: GENERATED 45.27 DC VOLTS?
This video isnt about me teaching, its about me learning and showing my findings
The hub I used is:
Shimano Alfine Hub Dynamo 3.0 DH-S501, 6V-3.0W
The circuit board I used came from this £8.99 product:
Laxzo Universal USB Power Bicycle Handlebar Dynamo Charger for Cellphones GPS
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Laxzo-Universal-Bicycle-Handlebar-Cellphones/dp/B082NXX7XQ
This is my findings using a volt meter, as i couldnt actually find any useful information of actual readings, as the advertised ratings state 6V-3.0W, im really confused at the results, does this provide much more volts than advertised? or have I got something mixed up?
I also put together a beginners schematic at the very end, those are notes more for me, explaining what each part does and what its there for, as my electronics knowledge is rather basic.
AC Readings at: 00:00
DC Readings after 4 diodes creating a full bridge rectifier at: 02:15
DC Readings after 5v Current Regulator: 03:15
DC Readings whilst actually cycling at casual speeds: 04:02
Board Schematics: 06:45
