In this fake GBA comparison to a real copy, I'm taking a look at what the inside of a bootleg (fake) Gameboy Advance cart looks like, with a comparison to the original, authentic, non bootlegged, genuine, not fake version of the cartridge.
The main differences between a fake vs real GBA game are:
The use of an external save battery instead of an EEPROM for saving in-game data
The black "glob top" underneath the battery on the fake cartridge
The lack of the "Nintendo" text on the bottom of the motherboard, before the pins on the cartridge
The use of what looks like a non-Memorix Mask ROM chip.
