To accept a friend request on your Nintendo Switch account, follow these steps:

Press the HOME Button to open the Home Menu.
From the Home Menu, select Friend List on the left.

You will see a message that says, “You’ve received a friend request!” Tap on this message to display a list of the friend requests you have received.
Tap on the friend request you wish to accept.

Choose either Accept or Reject, or scroll down and select Block if you wish to block the user.

Confirm your choice by tapping Yes, and then tap OK.
Additionally, you can also follow these steps to accept friend requests:

Go to the User Page on the Home Menu’s top-left section.
Select Add Friend and choose “You’ve received a friend request” or “View

received a friend request” from the options.
Follow the instructions displayed on the screen
