5To add a guest account for split-screen on Xbox Series X|S, follow these steps:
Sign in to your console.
Press the Xbox button to open the guide, and then go to Profile & system Add or switch.
Select Add guest.
The guest account appears as HostName. If you have multiple guests who want to play, select Add guest again to create more guest accounts.
When you have a guest who wants to use your console but doesn’t have their own Xbox profile, you can create a guest account. In this scenario, there are now two roles:
Host: The player who created the guest account for their friend or family member.
Guest: The player who is now using a temporary account that acts as a copy of the host’s Xbox profile. At the end of the session, when the host signs out of their Xbox profile, the guest account is also signed out and removed from the console.
