Steps:

- To add a widget you first need to open the notification center, to do this click on the date and time area in the top right of the screen.

- You can also use two fingers to swipe from right to left from the right side of the trackpad.

- Click ‘edit widgets’ at the bottom of the notification centre.

- Here you have some widget suggestions.

- You can choose a category from the left to see widgets in that category.

- Hover over the widget that you would like to add and click the green plus in the top left corner.

- You can then drag and drop the widget to where you would like it to be in your notification centre.

- You can click on a widget to edit it, but not all widgets can be edited.

- Click anywhere on your mac screen to hide the notification centre.
