To appear offline on your Nintendo Switch, follow these steps:
Wake up your Switch: Press the “Home” button to go to the Nintendo Home Screen.
Access your profile: Click on your profile icon located in the upper-left region of the screen.
Navigate to User Settings: In the sidebar menu, choose “User Settings.”
Select Friend Settings: Scroll down the page and choose “Friend Settings.”
Adjust online status visibility:
To be hidden from everyone, select “Display online status to” and choose “No One.”
Alternatively, you can choose to share your online status only with friends marked as “Best Friends.” In that case, select “Best Friends” in the menu1.
Additionally, even if your online status is hidden, your friends might still see your play activity—the list of games you’ve recently played. To disable play activity visibility, visit your profile page and select User Settings - Play Activity Settings. Set “Display play activity to” to "No One".
