How to Disconnect & Delete Joy Con Controller From Nintendo Switch (Fast Tutorial)
Here’s how you can detach your Joy-Con controllers from your Nintendo Switch and also delete their pairing information:

Detach Joy-Con Controllers:
If you’re playing in handheld mode, follow these steps:
Turn the Joy-Con controllers around.
On the top of each Joy-Con, you’ll find a small black button.
Press and hold this button down.
While holding the button, slide the Joy-Con controller upward to remove it from the console.
Sometimes, Joy-Con controllers may get stuck if they were placed on upside down.
Delete Pairing Information:
To delete the pairing information, you have a couple of options:
From System Settings:
Attach the Joy-Con controllers to the Nintendo Switch console.
Go to the HOME Menu.
Select “System Settings” - “Controllers and Sensors” - “Disconnect Controllers”.
Hold down the “X” Button on the right Joy-Con until the blue circle is fully illuminated.
Alternatively:
From the HOME Menu, select “System Settings”.
Choose “Controllers and Sensors” - “Disconnect Controllers”.
Follow the on-screen instructions to delete the pairing information for all controllers known to your console.
