How to Beat Manus Melee Strategy Dark Souls Remastered
445Today From the Game Throne we bring you - how to Defeat Manus, Father of the Abyss, Legit Melee Kill.
Manus is one of the tougher fights in Dark Souls, but with a few simple steps you should be able to defeat him.
General Tips:
1. Only heal after you successfully dodge, if you get hit and heal he will just hit you again. So instead, wait, dodge his next attack and then heal - this is an endurance not a race
2. Lighter load makes this easier
3. Bring extra estus if you can't do much damage
Stage 1
1. Don't stay too close or too far.
2. Roll when his attack is landing, not when he "rears up" for it. This works for nearly all of his attacks.
3. Punish the hand
Stage 2
1. Whenever he does a magic attack hit the pendant instead of roll
2. Keep the pendant equipped, only switch to estus if you need to heal
3. On the "Black Magic Rain" attack, spam the pendant until the areas to the side of you are clear, then roll
4. Mix this with stage 1 and you're all set.
There are many different ways to do this fight, this is just one. You could go full Havel's and tank it, you could kill him with arrows before the boss fight.
