How to Change Gmail Address Name !
0If you want to change the name that appears on your Gmail account when you send or receive emails, you can easily do so through your Google Account settings. This is helpful if you've recently changed your name or simply want to update how your name appears to others. It's important to understand that while you can change your *display name*, you cannot change your actual Gmail email address. Gmail addresses are unique and permanent once created.
To change your Gmail display name, start by opening the Gmail app on your phone or visiting myaccount.google.com from a browser. Once you're signed in, tap your profile icon in the top right corner and select the option called "Manage your Google Account." After that, navigate to the tab labeled "Personal info" found at the top of the screen.
Scroll down to the section called "Basic info" where you will see your current name listed. Tap or click on your name to begin editing. You'll now be able to enter a new first and last name. After entering your updated name, save the changes to confirm. This updated name will now show up when you send emails from your Gmail account.
Please note that this update may take some time to reflect across all Google services. Also, recipients might still see your old name if they've saved your contact information or if their email service caches it. This method only changes the display name; your actual Gmail address (for example, exampleuser@gmail.com) will remain the same. If you want an entirely new email address, you would need to create a new Google account.
You can also change the display name through Gmail's web interface. Go to Gmail, click the gear icon, select "See all settings," go to the "Accounts and Import" tab, find the "Send mail as" section, and click "edit info" next to your address. From there, you can update your name and save the change.
