Changing your home address on Google Maps is a quick and convenient process, especially if you've recently moved or need to correct an old location. Setting an accurate home address helps Google Maps provide better commute estimates, personalized directions, and faster access to home navigation from anywhere. Whether you're using Android or iOS, the steps are nearly identical and take just a few seconds.

Start by launching the Google Maps app on your device. Once the app is open, tap on the “Saved” tab located at the bottom of the screen. Scroll down to the "Your lists" section, and under “Labeled,” tap on “Home.” If you’ve already set a home address, it will appear here. If not, Google Maps will prompt you to add one.

To change your current home address, tap on the three dots next to “Home” and select “Edit home.” You’ll then be taken to a map where you can either search for a new address manually using the search bar or drag and drop the pin to your desired location. Make sure the marker is positioned accurately on your street or building for the most precise results.

Once you've selected or moved the location pin to your new home address, tap the “Save” button. Google Maps will update your home label and reflect this change across services that rely on location settings, like Google Assistant and Google Search.

If you're using Google Maps via browser, you can also go to https://maps.google.com/?entry=yt, sign in with your Google account, and follow similar steps under “Your places” - “Labeled.”
