How to Change Targeting Mode if its grayed out in GTA 5 Online (Fast Tutorial)
If the targeting mode is grayed out in GTA 5 Online, it’s because targeting mode is locked based on the session type. You can only change the targeting mode in GTA 5 Story Mode or a private lobby. Here's how to do it:
Steps to Change Targeting Mode When It's Grayed Out
Exit to Story Mode:
If you're in GTA Online, go to the Pause Menu, select the Online tab, and choose Leave GTA Online.
Change Targeting Mode in Story Mode:
Open the Pause Menu in Story Mode.
Navigate to Settings- Controls.
Look for the Targeting Mode option and select your desired mode:
Assisted Aim-Full
Assisted Aim-Partial
Free Aim
Free Aim-Assisted
Save Your Targeting Mode:
After selecting the new targeting mode, exit the menu to save the changes.
Return to GTA Online:
Rejoin GTA Online.
Your targeting mode will now reflect the mode you set in Story Mode, as long as you enter a session that allows it.
