How to Turn On the Aim Assist in GTA 5 Online (Target Mode)
Turning on aim assist in GTA 5 Online is not directly adjustable from Online Mode, as aim settings are tied to Story Mode and depend on the type of session you're in. However, you can enable aim assist for Online Mode by following these steps:
Steps to Enable Aim Assist for GTA 5 Online
Switch to Story Mode:
Leave GTA Online by opening the Pause Menu.
Navigate to the Online tab and select Leave GTA Online.
Enable Aim Assist in Story Mode:
Once in Story Mode:
Open the Pause Menu.
Go to Settings - Controls.
Find the Targeting Mode option.
Choose your preferred setting:
Assisted Aim - Full: Maximum aim assist.
Assisted Aim - Partial: Moderate aim assist.
Free Aim - Assisted: Minimal aim assist.
Free Aim: No aim assist.
Save the Settings:
Exit the menu after making your selection.
Rejoin GTA Online:
Return to Online Mode by selecting Online -Play GTA Online from the Pause Menu.
Note that the targeting mode applies only to sessions that allow it:
For example, Free Aim sessions will override any aim assist settings.
