Switching from GTA 5 Story Mode to GTA Online is straightforward. Follow these steps:

Switching from Story Mode to Online
Access the Character Wheel:

While in Story Mode, hold down the Character Selection Key:
PC: Hold Alt.
PlayStation: Hold the Down D-Pad.
Xbox: Hold the Down D-Pad.
Navigate to the Online Character:

The Online character slot is at the center of the character wheel.
Use the joystick (console) or mouse/arrow keys (PC) to highlight the Online character.
Select Online:

Release the button when the Online character is highlighted.
Load into Online Mode:

You’ll be taken to the GTA Online lobby menu where you can:
Join a public session.
Join a private session (Invite Only, Friends, or Crew).
Select the desired session, and the game will load into GTA Online.
