How to clean the Dyson humidifier (AM10)
The Dyson AM10 humidifier should be cleaned once a week. This is a short cleaning that is aimed at the places where the humidifier has standing water -- basically the parts under the water container.
These needs to be wiped down with some sort of safe cleaning solution. Never use alcohol or anything too strong, because you're going to be breathing in anything left behind! Before cleaning make sure the AM10 is emptied and unplugged. Never put the unit under running water, as you can (you will!) get water where it doesn't belong and you could damage sensitive parts, mainly the UV light.
An important part of the weekly cleaning is taking the rubber gasket (known as the "rill cover") out of the humidifier and given it either a thorough scrubbing or a bath in a citric acid solution.
