How to collect flux & make the Orbital Strike / Scan Beacon & Fallout 76 - 2023 Update 22 Part 2/2
I have made 2 videos, this one is to show you how to collect the flux, this second video shows you how to make them and of course I will demonstrate them afterwards in this second video.
I take over a workshop then make the Beacons.
I have also assumed you have done the Enclave based quests to get the plans.
You can only collect flux in a nuked zone.
Tips:
1. Use Green Thumb Perk card for doubling up each flux collected
2. Collect as much as possible as each module take a few pieces to manufacture one Beacon
3. Wear a suit to protect you from radiation and watch your rads.
4. Keep a track of where you have been as you can only collect flux once.
The Orbital Strike Beacon and the Orbital Scan Beacon are two powerful items that can be used to call down a satellite strike or a reconnaissance scan on a target location in Fallout 76. To craft these items, you will need to collect some rare components that are scattered around the map. Here are some tips on how to find them:
- The main component for both beacons is the Orbital Scan Module, which can be looted from Scorched Officers or Scorched Conquerors. These enemies are marked by a red star on the compass and emit a beeping sound. They can be found in various locations, such as the Whitespring Resort, the Cranberry Bog, or near fissure sites.
- Another component for the Orbital Strike Beacon is the High-Powered Magnet, which can be salvaged from junk items such as broken magnets, magnetized scrap, or military-grade duct tape. You can also find them in places like Camp McClintock, Fort Defiance, or Sugar Grove.
- The final component for the Orbital Strike Beacon is the Nuclear Keycard, which is required to launch a nuclear missile from a silo. You can obtain one by shooting down a Cargobot, which is escorted by several Vertibots. You can track down a Cargobot by following the "I Am Become Death" quest or by listening to the "Officer on Deck" radio signal.
- The only other component for the Orbital Scan Beacon is the Military-Grade Circuit Board, which can be obtained from junk items such as biometric scanners, military-grade circuit boards, or targeting cards. You can also find them in military facilities like Camp Venture, Firebase Hancock, or Site Alpha.
Once you have all the components, you can craft the beacons at any Tinker's Workbench. To use them, you will need to equip them in your inventory and throw them like a grenade at your desired location. Be careful not to hit yourself or your allies with the blast radius of the Orbital Strike Beacon, as it can deal massive damage. The Orbital Scan Beacon will reveal all enemies and lootable containers in the area for a short time. Enjoy your orbital support!
