Video Transcript:
Step 1. Open the Facebook app, and then tap your profile picture on your Facebook home screen to open a menu. The menu screen opens on your Android device.

Step 2. Scroll down this screen, and then tap "Log Out." A window pops up asking if you want to log out of your Facebook account.

Step 3. Tap "Log Out." You'll be routed out to your Facebook login screen, where you should still see your Facebook profile. If you still see your Facebook profile, you're not done and you need to keep going, fully removing your Facebook profile from this device as the first step to completely log out of the Facebook Messenger app on this device.

Step 4. Tap the ellipses at the top of this screen to open a menu, and then tap "Remove Profiles from this Device." A list of the profiles saved to this specific Android device is shown.

Step 5. Find the profile you want to remove, and then tap "Remove" next to that profile. A window opens asking if you're sure that you want to remove this Facebook profile on this Android device, and letting you know that if you do that you'll need to fully log in to your Facebook account on this device again to access it.

Step 6. Tap "Remove." Your Facebook profile will be fully removed from this Android device, and you'll be routed to an empty Facebook login screen. But, you're not done, and you need to uninstall the Facebook Messenger app from your Android device to completely log out of the service.

Step 7. Navigate to your Android device's home screen, hold your finger against the Facebook Messenger app, and then tap "App Info." A menu opens.

Step 8. Tap "Uninstall." A window pops up asking if you want to uninstall this app.

Step 9. Tap "OK." The Facebook Messenger app will be uninstalled, and as a result you'll be completely logged out of the Facebook Messenger app on your Android device.
