Step 1. Swipe down from the top-right corner of your iPhone or iPad home screen to access the Control Center.
Step 2. Tap the volume control bar in the control center. The next screen shows you options associated with your Apple AirPods.
Step 3. Tap "Conversation Awareness" in the menu at the bottom of this screen. The Conversation Awareness icon will turn blue and the feature will be enabled. Going forward, whenever your AirPods detect that you're in a conversation they will automatically adjust so that you can hear the people you're speaking with more clearly while keeping your AirPods in. You can navigate back to this screen and tap the icon at any time to turn Conversation Awareness off.
