Processing Wave Transfers:
Once you have created a wave transfer, you can process it like any other transfer. This involves:
Printing picking lists: This generates a single list for all transfers in the wave.
Picking and packing the products: Warehouse staff can pick and pack all the items in the wave together.
Confirming the transfers: Once the picking and packing are complete, you can confirm the transfers to finalize the wave.
You can add new transfers to an existing wave even after it has been created.
Odoo allows you to configure picking policies for wave transfers, such as sending all products at once or shipping them as soon as they become available.
Wave transfers are a valuable tool for businesses that handle large volumes of inventory transfers, especially for those with repetitive or predictable transfer patterns.
Configuration:
Before using wave transfers, you need to enable them in the settings:
Go to Inventory - Configuration - Settings.
In the Operations section, enable Batch Transfers and Wave Transfers.
Click Save to apply the changes.
Creating and Adding Transfers to a Wave:
Go to Inventory - Operations - Transfers.
Use the filters in the search bar to group transfers with similar characteristics (e.g., product, location, carrier).
Select the transfers you want to add to a wave.
Click the Action button and choose Add to Wave.
You can either:
Create a new wave transfer: Enter a name and optionally assign a responsible employee.
Add to an existing wave transfer: Select the desired wave from the dropdown menu.
Click Confirm to add the transfers to the wave.
