How to connect bluetooth devices to the Asus ROG Ally and why you should
99Here I'm talking about how to connect a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse to the Asus ROG Ally and why you should. Unfortunately Windows isn't really well designed for such a tiny screen. Especially when you throw in a virtual pop up keyboard. I've found that really gets in the way and then leads to problems because it covers over the form fields (like passwords for example) and makes it a nightmare to do simple things like enter login details.
There is a solution though - using a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse as I'm doing here with these:

Fortunately because the ROG Ally is a Windows device it's really easy to connect a Bluetooth device to it without much hassle. This can help as you can then use it to play games that aren't optimised for controllers and need a keyboard and mouse or just to do more with your Ally.
To do it, hit the Windows start key and type Bluetooth. Then look for the Bluetooth device options. Turn on Bluetooth and click to add a new device. Then put your device into pairing mode and find it. You might need to add a PIN in order to pair it with your console.
The other thing is the useful shortcuts worth keeping in mind:
Macro Hotkeys default list:
Macro + D-pad up: Show Keyboard
Macro + D-pad down: Task Manager
Macro + D-pad left: Show Desktop
Macro + D-pad right: Task Viewer
Macro + A: Take Screenshot
Macro + B: Show Windows Notification Center
Macro + X: Projection mode
Macro + Y: Begin Recording
