How to Connect Nintendo Switch Joy Con Controller to Computer (Fast Tutorial)
1Connecting your Nintendo Switch Joy-Con controllers to a computer is straightforward. Whether you want to play games or use them for other purposes, here’s how you can do it:
Ensure Bluetooth is Enabled on Your PC:
On Windows 10, go to Settings - Devices - Bluetooth - Add Bluetooth or other device - Bluetooth.
On Windows 7, head to Control Panel - Hardware and Sound - Add a device.
Pairing the Joy-Cons:
If you’re using Joy-Con controllers, disconnect them from the Switch or the Joy-Con grip first.
Long-press the “Sync” button on the Joy-Con. You’ll find this button located between the SL and SR buttons.
The lights next to the Sync button will begin to blink.
If you’re using a Pro Controller, you’ll find the “Sync” button at the top of the controller, to the left of the USB-C charging plug. Long-press it.
The controller will be in pairing mode after you long-press the Sync button.
Connect to Your PC:
Open your computer’s Bluetooth menu.
You’ll see the Joy-Con or Pro Controller listed there.
Select it to connect it to your PC.
Note that the lights on a Joy-Con may continue to blink even after it’s connected, but you can verify the connection in the Bluetooth window.
Repeat for Multiple Controllers:
If you want to pair more than one controller (for example, both Joy-Cons), repeat the process.
Each controller will appear in the Add a device screen when you long-press its Sync button.
Keep in mind that Joy-Con controllers will work as separate small controllers, similar to how you use them in two-player mode on the Nintendo Switch. Unfortunately, combining them into a single controller isn’t possible at the moment. However, the Pro Controller works well in many PC games and emulators, offering all the standard buttons you’d expect from a full controller
