Avidemux is a free video editing software designed for quick edits and adjustments. In this tutorial I will be teaching you how to quickly trim a video into a smaller clip without losing quality.

This tool can be incredibly useful and a huge time saver for video editors and content creators. In a matter of moments you can trim out a segment of a video with Avidemux to share or save for later.

Trimming a clip with Avidemux is simple. Open or iimport the video into the program. Use the timeline to find the frame you want to start and end the trim. Mark them using the A and B tools under the timeline. The selected area will be what Avidemux exports as your new clip.

Exporting is as simple as pressing the save icon at the top left of the Avidemux window. Once you have chosen a name and location you can save your newly trimmed clip, in perfect quality.
