Steps:
- Open up the reddit app on your phone, tap on your profile icon in the top left corner.
- Tap on settings from the menu that appears.
- Scroll down the settings and tap on ‘help FAQ’
- Search for ‘deactivate’ in the search bar.
- Tap on the first result, ‘how do i deactivate my account?’
- And then tap on the highlighted link in the article.
- It will bring you to reddit.com and you will have to sign into your account.
- Once you are signed in, tap on the three horizontal lines button in the top right corner.
- Select ‘settings’ and then choose ‘account settings’.
- Scroll down the account settings and tap ‘deactivate account’.
- Note that deactivating your account won’t delete the posts and comments that you have made from that account. In order to do that you will have to go to each post and comment and delete them individually.
- Fill in your username and password and then check the box below.
- Tap ‘deactivate’ then tap ‘deactivate’ again on the popup.
