Steps:
- Start by opening the settings app.
- In settings, select ‘general’.
- In General, select ‘background app refresh’.
- You can turn off background app refresh for every app by tapping where it says ‘on’ and changing it to off. This will stop every single app from refreshing.
- If you’d prefer you could disable and enable specific apps from having this privilege. For example you could just enable it on the apps that are most important to you.
