Hey guys! Welcome to Pinoy Tech Tips channel!

Feel free to refer to this tutorial video if you need help setting up some restrictions for your kids on your Xiaomi smartphone.
Xiaomi Parental Controls
Parents who allow smartphone access to their kids are encouraged to set up parental controls to set restrictions on content and use of the device.
The Internet offers various types of content that can be accessible by anyone who goes online including minors. However, many of these online contents are inappropriate for certain ages.
Thankfully, new smartphones are already programmed to offer some restrictions with some pre-installed privacy and security features including parental control. The same restrictions are also offered in essential apps including the Play Store.
That said, be sure to have these features activated on your child's phone or your device itself, especially if you allow your kids to use it.
Depicted in this tutorial video is the standard process of enabling Google Play Store parental control on the Redmi Note 8 smartphone.
Steps to Enable Parental Controls on Redmi Note 8
The following steps are also applicable when enabling Play Store parental controls on other Xiaomi smartphones that are running on the same MIUI platform or software version with the Redmi Note 8.
To get started, go to the Home screen and then tap on the Play Store icon to launch the app.
When the Play Store app is finished loading up, tap the menu icon represented by three short horizontal lines located on the upper-leftmost side of the Google Play search bar.
A side menu opens with a list of Google Play options.
Find then tap Settings to proceed.
The Play Store settings menu will show up on the next display.
Scroll down to the bottom section and then tap Parental Controls.
On the next screen, you will see the switch to turn parental controls off or on.
To turn the feature on, simply tap the Parental controls switch to the right.
A pop-up window appears, asking you to create a content PIN.
Enter a content PIN that you'd like to use and then tap OK. Re-enter the same PIN and then tap OK again to confirm.
Be sure to take note of that PIN because you will need it to reconfigure the Play Store parental controls and to access restricted contents later.
To set a restriction for each type of content, tap Set content restrictions.
On the Parental Controls menu, tap on the green circle before the rated for age bracket that you'd like to allow.
Doing so will restrict purchases or downloads from Google Play for the selected age bracket.
Tap OK from the pop-up message to confirm. Just follow the same steps to manage restrictions to Play Store downloads and purchases.
After making necessary changes, tap the Save button.
The recent parental control settings will then be saved and Play Store restrictions are activated.
And that's how to activate parental controls on the Redmi Note 8 Play Store app.
