Hey guys! Welcome to Pinoy Tech Tips!
In this video, I will show you how to factory reset Huawei Y6P through settings.

A factory reset or master reset is one of the most effective solutions to complex system issues in mobile devices. Performing this reset will wipe all data and restore the device to its factory default settings. Any complex issues attributed to stubborn bugs and corrupted applications will likewise be rectified in the process. But the main downside from this reset is the fact that all downloaded apps and saved contents will be deleted. That said, creating a backup of all important data is highly recommended beforehand.
A factory reset in Android smartphones can be carried out in two different methods. First, is through the settings menu and the second is through Android recovery.
If you’re attempting to fix major system issues and the device is still responsive, performing a master reset or factory reset through settings is recommended. If the phone is not responsive, a factory reset through Android recovery is the option. Performing a factory reset via Android recovery requires the use of hardware keys to put the device in recovery mode.
Depicted in this tutorial video are the steps to perform a factory reset on the Huawei y6P smartphone through the settings menu.
Steps to Factory Reset Huawei Y6P via Settings
Tap the Settings icon from the Home screen to get started. Doing so will let you access the main settings menu of the phone.
On the Settings menu, you will see a long list of features and main settings.
Scroll down to view more items. When you reach the bottom section, tap System and updates.
System features will populate the next menu.
Tap Reset to continue.
On the next screen, you will see a list of reset commands including reset all settings, reset network settings and reset phone.
Select the command to Reset phone.
On the next screen, you will see a note telling what the reset will do and what data will be deleted in the process.
Read and review the details and then tap Reset Phone beneath the screen to proceed.
If prompted, enter your device PIN or pattern.
Another screen opens prompting you with a final warning and recommendations.
If you want to back up files beforehand, tap Back Up. Otherwise, tap Reset Phone to instigate a factory reset right away.
The phone will then start wiping all saved data including contacts, downloads apps, photos, videos and more.
The entire process may take several minutes depending on the amount of data to wipe and restore.
When it's finished wiping all data, the phone reboots automatically. As soon as it boots up, all factory default settings are restored.
At this point, you can proceed with the initial setup process to get your device ready for use as new.

And that’s how a factory reset is done through the Huawei Y6P settings menu.
