How to Exchange Fandango Movie Tickets

Hi. I'm Max Dalton, and in this video I'm going to talk through how to exchange a Fandango movie ticket purchase.
Maybe you got your times mixed up when you made the initial purchase. Maybe you thought you were free but you're actually not. Or, maybe you have a problem come up at the last minute and you're not going to be able to make the movie you got tickets for. Believe it or not, if you purchased your movie tickets through Fandango, the process to return them is almost easier than it is to purchase them. In a matter of seconds you can exchange your tickets for Fandango credit (including the hefty convenience fee), and use that credit at any time later on toward your next ticket purchase. Better yet, any credit you have will automatically be applied to your next ticket purchase, so you don't have to worry about forgetting to use it.
And now, let's walk through the steps to exchange your Fandango movie tickets through the Fandango mobile app.
Step 1. Open the Fandango app on your smart device. Tap the "Account" icon in the row of options along the bottom of the screen. The Purchases screen appears, displaying a list of past and upcoming purchases.
Step 2. Tap the blue "Can't Make the Show?" text that appears beneath the title and to the right of the movie poster for the upcoming movie purchase you can't make. The Refunds and Exchanges screen appears.
Step 3. You'll see two options on the Refunds and Exchanges screen. You'll see one option to receive a refund for your ticket, and another option to exchange it for Fandango credit. Select "An Exchange for Fandango Credit." Additionally, make a selection in the Reason for Refund or Exchange drop-down, and then tap the orange "Continue" button at the bottom of the screen. The Exchange for Fandango Credit screen appears, displaying a summary of your costs, and the total dollar amount you're exchanging.
Step 4. Tap the orange "Complete My Exchange" button at the bottom of this screen. A series of lines will roll over the orange button while the exchange request is being processed. Eventually, you'll be moved to the Exchange Completed screen, where a summary of your exchange will be displayed, along with a confirmation number for your exchange.
Step 5. Scroll down to the bottom of the Exchange Completed screen, and tap the orange "Done" button. You've successfully exchanged your Fandango movie tickets, and received credit that can be used toward your next Fandango purchase.
When it comes to using your Fandango credit you don't need to do anything, because any Fandango credit you have is automatically applied to your next Fandango purchase. You can verify this when reviewing a purchase, where you should see a line item for Fandango Credit Applied that shows how much credit will be applied to your purchase. The dollar amount associated with the credit appears in green.
