Amazon FreeTime Unlimited is great for providing a safe environment where they can access high-quality videos, games, educational apps, books, music and more. As an added bonus, when your child isn't using the tablet, you can easily switch over to your Amazon account and use the device as a regular Kindle Fire. Exiting Freetime and switching to the regular Kindle Fire interface only takes a few seconds, and you can easily switch back to Amazon FreeTime for your child when you're done.
Now let's walk through the steps to get out of FreeTime on your Kindle Fire.
Step 1. Swipe down from the top center of the Amazon FreeTime screen on your Kindle Fire tablet. A small menu appears. Swipe down over that menu again to expand it.
Step 2. Tap the picture associated with your child's Amazon FreeTime account in the upper right corner of the menu. A User window appears, displaying all of the Amazon user accounts that have been set up on that Kindle Fire.
Step 3. Tap the name of the adult Amazon user account you want to switch to. The Enter PIN screen appears. Enter the PIN code you set up to exit Amazon FreeTime Unlimited, and then tap "Submit." You'll exit Amazon FreeTime and you'll be taken to your Kindle Fire sign-in screen.
From here, you can swipe up across the Kindle Fire home screen and then enter your passcode. You'll arrive at your Kindle Fire home screen.
