The Kindle Fire tablets that run Amazon FreeTime can survive almost everything kids can throw at it or throw it into -- almost. If your Kindle Fire running Amazon FreeTime Unlimited is no longer functioning and you don't plan on replacing it to keep using the service, you can cancel Amazon FreeTime from your computer on the Amazon website so you don't have to keep paying the subscription charge on a monthly basis.

Now let's walk through the steps to turn off Amazon FreeTime from your computer through the Amazon website.

Step 1. Open your web browser and navigate to the URL on the screen. I'll also link it in the video description. Log in to your Amazon account if prompted. You'll arrive at your Amazon parent dashboard.

Step 2. Click "Continue" toward the top of the screen beneath the icons of the Amazon FreeTime accounts associated with your Amazon account. The Manage FreeTime Unlimited Subscription screen appears.

Step 3. Click "Cancel Subscription" on the Manage FreeTime Unlimited Subscription screen. The Before You Continue screen appears, asking if you're sure you want to cancel your Amazon FreeTime Unlimited subscription.

Step 4. Click "Yes, go to cancellation page." A screen appears with options for you to indicate why you're cancelling your Amazon FreeTime Unlimited subscription. Choose your cancel reason, and then click "Submit and Confirm Cancellation" at the bottom of the screen.

You've successfully cancelled your Amazon FreeTime Unlimited subscription through the Amazon website.
