When this ability is combined with HP absorb. and subversion is linked with warding (level 3 warding). and you are using a high magic damage weapon with the Reprieve skill you can abuse this skill and go from zero to nearly 100% limit break with it, while surviving the explosion and recovering yourself to NEARLY full HP instead of dying while using it. I think you can recover yourself to full hp if you use it on a group of enemies.

IMPORTANT: Make sure Warding materia is maxed out or you won't get your limit break up doing this.

Edit 1: To get a higher limit break gauge and increase probability of getting an instant limit break with lower magic attack power make sure to use self-destruct to stagger the boss. When you stagger a boss you get a nice boost to your limit break so when you combine that boost with this method it should give you a bigger limit break gauge boost.
