In this beginners guide tutorial I show you some of the methods you can use to work out which items have been added to the mission server files in the latest DayZ update, and hence their class-names for your edited boosted or reduced loot custom files.
I also show you how to figure out which files have been edited and changed, and how to get the latest mission files (even if only on experimental) and past, older vanilla server files.
I show you how to look at the DayZ Blog & Patch Notes as clues to what has been added, Bhaalshads Discord, and how you can compare vanilla versions of files (in this example 1.27 vs 1.28) using Notepad ++ and the Compare Plugin.
You can then edit your types.xml, cfgspawnabletypes.xml, etc and add these new items so you can have the new loot ready for when the update drops.
The above info was believed to be correct as of DayZ Update Patch 1.27, May 2025.
Thanks, Rob.
