In this beginners guide tutorial I show you how to take your modded DayZ Community Server xml files, in this case types.xml , then compare it with a vanilla file, so you can extract and copy and paste your loot changes to a separate file to be used by the CE function in cfgeconomycore.xml.
This method is a lot "cleaner" for your server in the long run, because when the mission files get updated by the DayZ Devs, adding new items, your old boosted loot files can still work AND the new items will spawn on your server.
The method we'll be using is to open the vanilla files and the modded file in notepad plus plus, then use the compare function to highlight the differences (our edits) so you can copy and paste those edits into a separate file.
The above info was believed to be correct as of DayZ Update Patch 1.27, May 2025.
Thanks, Rob.
