Follow the steps below to fix Discord installation has failed error:
1. Right click the Windows start button in the bottom left and then select Task Manager.
2. In the Task Manager ensure there are no instances of Discord open on your computer. If you find Discord, right click it and select End task. Once completed close the task manager.
3. Right click the Windows start button in the bottom left and then select Run.
4. Type %appdata% and then select run.
5. In the new window find the Discord folder, right click it and select Delete.
6. Right click the Windows start button in the bottom left and then select Run.
7. Type %localappdata% and then select run.
8. In the new window find the Discord folder, right click it and select Delete.
9. Now you should be able to install Discord without an error.
