I'll show you an ingenious solution to this problem. Sit tight with me while I walk you through the steps in the solution.
Using my hikmat you can
1. Install fortnite to a different local disk volume on your same computer
2. Forgo the need to uninstall and then re-install epic games launcher
3. Keep your fortnite installation on a non Windows OS disk. If ever your Windows OS crashes your fortnite DLC will be safe
4. Move fortnite installation to another disk/drive
5. Keep epic games launcher and system happy by making them think they are installing to the C drive

In this video we deleted the the portion of the game originally downloaded before IS-DS01 occurred. However, if you want to save/reuse the game portion already downloaded; so that you do not have to re-download it again (esp if it substantially large or you are on a metered internet connection, then I have an ingenious hikmat for this as well.

To resolve this issue, please try the following:

Clear room on your hard drive by uninstalling or deleting unwanted games, software, and other data.
Uninstall the game, and re-install. This typically uses less space than a patch.

If you receive this error after completing the troubleshooting steps, please contact Epic Games Player Support.

However you are with Hikmat E Ustad therefore let me guide you towards my solution.

We will utilize a Microsoft Sysinternals Software called Junction to create a symlink/redirect from the Epic Games Launcher folder to another drive which has sufficient space for your games.

This will create a permanent redirect to your free drive.

Therefore you will not have to

1. Uninstall and then reinstall the epic games launcher to some different drive as other have pointed out
2. go headhunting different size software installed on your pc and delete the ones which you think are unnecessary
3. install your game to a different drive
