How to fix PC sound volume levels going down low when launching the game The Crew 1
45This video will show you how to fix the following issue: you launch the game The Crew 1 on Windows PC, and once past the front end main menu, when the game world map is displayed, your audio volume levels plummet (they descend to a barely audible level). In order to fix this issue, once the issue occurs, minimize the game, and in the Windows operating system in the background, open up Control Panel. In the upper right corner of the Control Panel window, ensure that VIEW BY is set to SMALL ICONS. Now, in this Control Panel window, find and click on SOUND. Under Sound, click on the RECORDING tab. In the Recording tab, select the active microphone (that with the green check mark) followed by clicking on PROPERTIES. In the Microphone Properties, select the LEVELS tab. In the Levels tab, adjust the microphone level slider (even minimally, just make a change to the level) followed by clicking OK. Again in the Sound window, click on the COMMUNICATIONS tab. Under the Communications tab, select any option that differs from your current option, then click APPLY, and then specifically select DO NOTHING followed by again clicking APPLY followed by clicking OK. You will be returned to the Sound window. In the Sound menu, repeat the process again: (click on the RECORDING tab. In the Recording tab, select the active microphone (that with the green check mark) followed by clicking on PROPERTIES. In the Microphone Properties, select the LEVELS tab. In the Levels tab, adjust the microphone level slider (even minimally, just make a change to the level) followed by clicking OK. Again in the Sound window, click on the COMMUNICATIONS tab. Under the Communications tab, select any option that differs from your current option, then click APPLY, and then specifically select DO NOTHING followed by again clicking APPLY). After repeating this process, your lowered volume levels should now be restored to their initial, correct levels.
Sadly this process needs to be repeated every time the game is launched.
