While Windows 10 does a good job of detecting what time zone you're in if you have the time zone set to update automatically, it can be a little slow to update. Thankfully, if you're on the go and Windows misses a time zone change you can update the time zone yourself without too much of a headache to ensure you stay on schedule.
Now let's walk through the steps to fix an incorrect time zone in Windows 10.
Step 1. Right-click the date and time currently displayed on your Windows 10 taskbar to open a context menu, and then click "Adjust Date Time" in that context menu. The Date and Time Settings screen is shown.
Step 2. Click to turn off the toggle associated with "Set Time Zone Automatically." You'll see that the time zone drop-down is now editable.
Step 3. Click to expand the Time Zone drop-down and then choose the time zone you want to switch to. You'll see the time on your Windows 10 computer automatically be updated.
Step 4. Re-enable the Set Time Zone Automatically toggle if you want the time zone to update automatically going forward. You'll see that field lock down again, and it should update automatically going forward.
