By default Gmail groups together emails that are in the same chain. This can make it incredibly difficult to find a specific email in a conversation thread. Thankfully, you can easily turn off the conversation view feature to ungroup those emails.

Step 1. Tap the "Menu" icon to open a menu.

Step 2. Scroll down to the bottom of this menu, and then tap "Settings."

Step 3. Tap the Google account at the top of the screen where you want to turn off the threaded conversation view in the associated Gmail account.

Step 4. Scroll down this menu and then tap the toggle next to Conversation View. A message will be displayed letting you know that Conversation View has been turned off, and that if you want to change it going forward you can do that through your account settings.
