Video Transcript:
Step 1. Open a new chat in the desktop version of ChatGPT.
Step 2. I like to start by telling ChatGPT that I'll need it to generate some SRT captions for a video, and that I'll upload the video and provide the text separately.
Step 3. After you do that, ChatGPT will give you the green light to upload your video. Drag the video you want to generate SRT captions for into the ChatGPT message box, and then click "Send."
Step 4. After ChatGPT returns a message letting you know that it's received the video, go ahead and paste the transcript you have for the video into the message post, and then click "Send."
A message will be displayed letting you know that ChatGPT is working to estimate the timings and will let you know when the process is done and your SRT captions are available. When your captions are ready a message will show up letting you know that your captions have been created and can be downloaded at a provided link.
Step 5. Click the link to download your captions file. You can open your SRT captions file in Notepad or any other text editor if you want to preview it.
