How to Start Reading TWD comics Today. A beginners Guide to get started reading the Walking Dead comics and how much they cost. TWD Comic is sold in single Issues. Six Issues are put into what is called a Trade Paper Back (TPB). 2 TPBs are put into Hard Cover Books (HC Books) and 4 HC Books are put into One Compendium which equals 48 single issues. I recommend you start out with the 2 compendiums and then move to TPB vols, 17,18,19,20,21, & 22 and pick up from the single issue #133 & #134... Then you are now caught up!!
