You've probably noticed that the area south of the Great Khan Encampment is blocked off by a huge mountain and infested with giant radscorpions.
You've probably noticed that the area north of the Great Khan encampment (Quarry junction & the surrounding wasteland) are completely overrun with deathclaws, who will kill the shit out of you on sight.
Maybe you're frustrated and giving up hope that you'll ever reach Melissa, so that you can tell her Caesar's Legion is going to screw over the Khans. I mean - how are you going to enlist the Great Khans to fight by your side in the battle of Hoover Dam after all?
