How to Give a Specific Contact a Different Notification Sound on WhatsApp
31In this video, I'm going to show you how to give a specific contact or a group contact, a different notification sound on WhatsApp. So open up WhatsApp on your phone, tap into one of your chats. I'm going to start off with a group chat. Now tap on the three dots in the top right hand corner and tap on group info.
Now you'll see an option for custom notifications tap on this. Tap on the checkbox beside use custom notifications and then tap on the notification tone and select a specific tone for this particular group, now what we're going to do is go back and do the exact same thing for a contact within WhatsApp.
Make sure you hit the save button after you have selected the notification tone. So again just select one of your contacts. Tap on the three dots in the top right hand corner, tap on view contact. And then again, tap on custom notifications, Make sure you hit the checkbox beside use custom notifications and again, do the same thing by selecting a notification tone.
