You can easily use your HomePod as a 'soundbar' to get great sounding audio quality from your TV setup. The major caveat is that you need to be playing from an Apple device like a Mac connected to your TV via HDMI or an Apple TV. Ok, so HomePod is not a perfect substitute for a soundbar. That's true. But if you already have an Apple HomePod you can get some extra functionality out of it with this tip.
