Step 1. Navigate to your Windows home screen, and then click the "Windows" icon on the taskbar to open a menu.
Step 2. Enter "character map" in the search field, and then click "Character Map" in the list of results. The Character Map application opens.
Step 3. Navigate to the Search For field, enter "copyright" in this field, and then click "Search."
Step 4. Click the "Copyright" icon at the top of the screen, which will make that icon larger. Click "Select," and then click "Copy." You can now navigate to the document or location where you want to insert the copyright symbol, and then paste the icon into that document.
