To install mods for Defcon go to your Windows (C:) hard drive, then Program Files (x86) folder - then the Defcon game folder - then create a folder called "mods" - then in that folder there is a folder for each of your mods such as a b52 bomber mod, or individual map mods, etc... You can unzip a mod into this folder and it will already have all the folders set up that the mod requires when it is unzipped into your mods folder.

To use the mod, launch the game and go to the mods menu option at the bottom of the tool bar. A new menu pops up to select from that the mod or mods you want. Select the mod and then select Activate at the bottom then Apply and close the menu. Press Esc while in-game to bring up the menu again and you can turn on or off mods as long as it is not a map mod.

These instructions are for Windows computers users, if you have Steam or a Apple MAC computer the instructions are the same you just have to find the different folders shown at the end of this video and below.

Regular PC... C:\program files (x86)\Defcon\Mods

SteamPC...C:\programsfiles\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\common\Defcon\Mods

MAC Users... ~/Library/Application Support/Defcon/mods

This site has map mods, plane mods, ships mods, etc.. and you can take a mod for a plane out of a map mod and use that alone if you place it in the same type of folder hierarchy.
