When you use GNS3 to prepare for Cisco exams, you may need to add and use the virtual machines you create on VMware to your project.

To use a virtual machine in GNS3:

Step 1: After installing #GNS3 and VMware by visiting the links below, run GNS3.

Step 2: Create two new virtual machines in VMware and configure a new VMnet using Virtual Network Editor.

Step 3: Configure the IP address block of the VMnet you created according to your network topology.

Step 4: Now create a new project in GNS3 and add a Cisco Router and Switch to the workspace.

Step 5: After preparing the virtual machines, add two Cloud to the workspace to add them to GNS3.

Step 6: Open the Cloud settings and configure the adapter setting as VMnet. In addition, you can change the Cloud symbol to Computer.

Step 7: Assign the IP address to the Cisco Router's interface connected to the Switch and turn on the port.

Step 8: With #VMware integration on GNS3, you can now use a real computer in your network topologies.
