How to Enable Telnet in Windows 10 and Use it with CMD | SYSNETTECH Solutions

To enable the #TelnetClient service:
Step 1: Open Command Prompt on your Windows 10 or older operating system and execute the telnet command. In this case, you will see that the telnet command is not recognized because the service is not running.
Step 2: Now, right-click on Start Menu and click on Programs and Features.
Step 3: When Programs and Features are opened, click Turn Windows Features On or Off in the left pane.
Step 4: In the Windows Features window, check Telnet Client and click the OK button.
Step 5: When the changes are applied, close the window and open CMD again and execute the telnet command.
Step 6: This time you will see the service running. In the Welcome to Microsoft Telnet Client window,? Display the commands you can use with.
Step 7: For example, if you want to connect to the management interface of your modem or gateway, the first type it in the Microsoft Telnet Client window and press Enter, then after typing the IP address of your device, you can connect.
Step 8: After typing the username and password of your device, you can perform management operations.
Step 9: To uninstall the Telnet Client service, open Windows Features again, this time uncheck this service and click OK. The changes will be applied and the service will be disabled.
Step 10: Now execute the DISM command at the time frame 2:55 to enable Telnet via the CMD prompt.
