How to launch Aliens vs. Predator 2 (2001) without the CD game disc on any version of Windows using Windows Shortcuts. You do not need to download or install ANY THIRD PARTY APPS OR PROGRAMS. EASIEST METHOD.


Cheat Sheet
Create a new Windows Shortcut that is pointed at the file, lithtech.exe, inside your AVP2 game folder.
Open the properties on your new shortcut and add this text to the end of the Target field, after lithtech.exe"
-cmdfile avp2cmds.txt
Apply your changes and launch AvP2.


You can use Windows Shortcuts to create your own AvP2 custom launcher to launch different mods. Just add the Mod's command parameters from the mod's readme file at the end and if you've installed the mod correctly, it WORKS!
This works on Windows 10 and Windows 7, 8, Vista, and XP
You can use this to load and launch any custom rez files you've downloaded.


This will not work if your game is not installed properly or if you did not find the correct folder where your game is installed.

Problems?
If you do not have the avp2cmds.txt file in your game directory, simply create a new text file with that same name "avp2cmds.txt".
Then paste this text between the '=' into it. Do not copy any of the '=' !!
