How to Locate where a Steam Game is installed on Steam Deck (Easy Method)
To locate where a Steam game is installed on your Steam Deck, follow these steps:
Switch to Desktop Mode:
Press the Steam button, go to “Power,” and select “Switch to Desktop.”
Open the File Manager:
Open the Dolphin file manager (the blue folder icon).
Navigate to the Game Files:
Go to /home/deck/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/.
Note: The .local and .steam folders are hidden by default. To view them, press Ctrl + H to show hidden files.
Find Your Game:
Inside the compatdata folder, you’ll find subfolders named with numbers. Each of these corresponds to a different game. You can identify your game by checking the appmanifest files in the steamapps folder or by trial and error.
