How to make a simple, healthy avocado smoothie using a blender. Ingredients for this include 1/2 avocado, 1 scoop greens powder ( http://amzn.to/29t3INo ), some raw or steamed greens, and a pinch of salt (optional). I used about 75g of steamed swims chard but you could also use kale, lettuce, collard greens, whatever you prefer.

I blended the smoothie for a long time so that it would be extra smooth and light. Extended blending at a high speed makes the mixture thick and airy, sort of like a milkshake (only sort of!), plus I hate chunks of greens in my smoothies. This is one reason the Vitamix 5300 ( http://amzn.to/2lTrV4x ) is my blender of choice, but this could be done with any high speed blender (Ninja, Blendtec, Oster, etc.)

As far as I understand this shake is compatible with FMD diet, Atkins, raw diets, and others. It's low calorie too. But I'm not an expert on any of this stuff or a nutritionist, so do your own research!
