How To make your own background image in Unreal Tournament 99
In this tutorial, I'm going to show you how to change the background image in the Unreal Tournament main menu. It's a great way to personalize your version of Unreal Tournament.
Download osxBackgroundChanger at Old Unreal:
https://www.oldunreal.com/downloads/unreal/mods-for-unreal/
Download the latest version of OldSkool on Github:
https://github.com/OldUnreal/oldskool/releases
When you open your UnrealTournament.ini, add the following lines at the end of the "[Editor.EditorEngine]" section:
EditPackages=osxBackgroundChanger
EditPackages=osxYourBackground (replace "osxYourBackground" with the name you gave your folder/project)
0:00 - Intro
0:12 - Download osxBackgroundChanger
0:49 - Background showcase
1:29 - Download OldSkool
1:46 - Install the "Slice for UT" action
2:16 - Work with photoshop
4:06 - Rename folder, files and text
4:34 - "Editor.EditorEngine" section
4:56 - The DOS prompt
06:10 - Outtro and showcase of the marginal difference between the two techniques of saving your background image
The installation path for the action file might look like this:
C:\Users\*UserName*\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS6\Presets\Actions
Thanks to Eko for writing the instructions. You will find his instructions on how to change the background in the "creatingyourown.txt" document in the \osxBackgroundChanger\Help\osxSDK folder.
