How to install umods, patch, masterserver + Upgrade UT99 GOTY to the Complete Edition
120After downloading Unreal Tournament GOTY from Steam or GoG, have you been wondering if there are any steps you should take to get the full experience or how to play online?
This is my take on a tutorial video to get what I think is the best experience of your downloaded Unreal Tournament GOTY edition.

If you experience critical error, error grave, when opening Unreal Tournament, this installation guide will most often fix it.
If you have a very dark display, changing video driver should fix it.
If you can't play online, this tutorial will fix it.
The video had been in production for some time. Upon completing it, I was made aware that Steam (and GoG) no longer sells UT99. I have chosen not to correct it in the video, as it is not of great importance to the guide itself.
If you use Windows XP or Vista, after updating with the new patch, download my pre-edited UnrealTournament.ini file from the "player" folder in my Google-drive. Replace it with the one in your UnrealTournament System folder.
Now you can play online again.
